  1. Make ready 1 cup brown rice
  2. Take 1 tbsp green lentil
  3. Prepare 1 tbsp black lentil
  4. Prepare 1 tbsp split gram
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp millets
  6. Get 1 tbsp curd
  7. Make ready 2 green chillies
  8. Prepare 1 "piece of ginger

This idli is perfect for weight loss and diabetes and also rich in protein and nutrients. Idli is a south Indian savory cake popular throughout India. The cakes are usually two to three inches in diameter and are made by steaming a batter consisting of fermented lentils and rice. I am not an idli expert. but once in a while I cook up some combination of lentils and grains and come up with some tasty idlis!

Steps to make Multigrain Idli:
  1. Soak all the grains for 4 hours.
  2. Make a smooth paste after adding green chillies and ginger.
  3. Cover and keep in a warm place for 8-10 hours.
  4. The batter is fermented after 8-10 hours.Add curd and fold the batter with gentle strokes in one direction.
  5. Warm a steamer in microwave oven.Grease the idli mould,put batter in the mould.
  6. Microwave on HIGH power for 3 minutes.If you are using a gas stove mould,steam the idlis for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Take out and serve with onion chutney and Sambhar.
