  6. Matcha cream: After Step 5, add 1/2 teaspoon of matcha mixed with a small amount of warm water and mix together.
  7. Coffee cream: After Step 5, add 4 g of instant coffee mixed with warm water. Sprinkle in a little Kaluah for aroma.

Soften Butter in a Double Boiler Tint the poured buttercream in your desired shade with a few drops of gel food coloring. The color may appear spotty at first. Just a few moments of warmth is all that's needed to help the color dissipate and deepen. Adding liquids such as vanilla not only incorporates flavor but the liquids also smooth out and lighten the texture of the buttercream. At this point, the buttercream will be very firm and stable.
