Now to the Vegetable Uthappam Recipe. Uthappam is a variety of dosa which is slightly thicker than dosa. I take the liberty of calling it the Indian Pizza. It is usually made with left over dosa.

Instructions to make Vegetable Uthappam:
  1. Soak the rice and urad dal for 8 hours and Menthia.
  2. Grind them into smooth batter along with cooked rice or puffed rice.Add water little
  3. Transfer into a vessel and ferment over night. Next day add salt and make soft idli or dosa.
  4. Coconut Chutney : In a mixer add coconut,ginger,garlic,green chilies and salt add little water and grind to smooth paste.Then add the channa dal and grind again.
  5. For the tempering :Heat oil in a pan,once hot add mustard seed,dry red chilli and curry leaves and add it to chutney.

Basically I am a big dosa lover and love to try dosa varieties at home. I make them mostly for breakfast.
