HOW TO STORE DRY RUB: For the best way to keep dry rubs fresh, use a zip-lock freezer bag and store it in the freezer.

- Blend all ingredients together thoroughly in a bowl or food processor. Make sure to break apart any clumps of brown sugar.
- Store in airtight container.
- For use on chicken or pork loin: sprinkle generously over meat as you would with a seasoning mix… Careful not to over do it.
- For ribs: pat ribs dry with paper towel. Generously cost all sides.
- For BBQ burgers, sprinkle on as a seasoning, or blend into the meat before making patties
Get as much air out of the bag as you can before sealing it. Make sure to date and label the bag or the jar. The first thing I always like to do before applying a rub is apply a small base layer of flavor. I simply sprinkle some salt, pepper and garlic powder over the meat. The next step is to get it a little bit wet so the dry rub can bind.
